Rescue mission ON

Sorry folks,I'll delay pics and writing on Redang trip. I'm currently into this:

In case you didn't get any news about this matter, click HERE and HERE.

To summarize, Pulau Ketam folks trapped more than 300 stray dogs of the pulau and shipped them to another inhabitable and isolated islands, Pulau Tengah and Pulau Selat Kering. Now these dogs are starving to death on the islands. Rescue mission is carrying out by SPCA and Furry Friends Farm to get the dogs back to mainland. Some critiqued the Pulau Ketam villagers inhuman act, while some critiqued the rescue mission for wasting money to save dogs.

In my opinion, Pulau Ketam recidents complained to Majlis Perbandaran that stray dogs problem was getting serious but they don't want Majlis Perbandaran people shot down the strays, so someone came out with the idea that transport all the stray dogs in the town to another island. Stray dogs problem solved, and they think the dogs are survivor, can live without food and fresh water on the inhabitable island. People don't want the dogs to be shot dead, so they spent money and energy to trapped and transfered hundreds of stray dogs to another island. This is act of goodness. But I think they forgot that dogs, that had became domestic animal since few thousand years ago, had lost their wildness because they were too close to human and were dependent on human on survival. None of the dogs were born without having contact with human in their whole life. They won't be able to survive without human around.

As another saying that why waste the effort and money to save the dog, a life is a life, let it be animal or human. More over, dogs are creatures that are emotional, just like human. And yes, I'm a dog lover. And it's time to have make some contribution if I'm to say I'm a dog lover. I'm planning to organize a fund raising for the rescue mission in my collage, with few friends helping out. Just a small event, to collect as much money as we could, and help to save as many dogs as we could from the island. I just sent out an email to get approval from the Head of Department. Hope to get a reply soon. Also, I contacted someone from a forum that is trying to form a group to collaborate and help out the rescue mission. It's time for devotion.
